Presently, this is the largest springtail available, measuring in at a “whopping” 4 millimeters. They can be difficult to culture and prefer drier conditions than one would expect for such a tiny, seemingly delicate organism. In the wild they are found in gardens and flower beds with substantial dry leaf litter build-up.
