Detailed Species Stats -Click-
The ivory millipede ranges from the Carolinas south to the Florida Keys. Once split into two species (with spinigerus assigned to the namesake “ivory” toned strains and pilsbryi to the darker ones), all color forms are presently considered a single species (though this may change in the future). This is certainly one of the most unique ivory millipede localities in terms of coloration: bucking the trend for southern Florida ivory localities, both immatures and adults are an aesthetic rusty orange with very little black. This strain has been traded as “Miccosukee”, however they are not actually from the city of Miccosukee in northern Florida and are actually from off the parkway in Conservation, southern Florida.
