Yet another introduced isopod species, Rathki’s Trachelipus usually inhabits leaf litter and dead logs. It is easily distinguished from Porcellio by its 5 pairs of white lung patches located under the “tail”. Care for both is the same, though this species seems to prefer moister conditions. This strain displays multiple phenotypes all found in wild populations.
