As of 2022, these springtails have been re-identified as an unknown member of the genus Coecobrya.

You can never have too many springtails, and this species is the best currently available clean-up springtail for roach enclosures. This pink tropical species is the easiest species to culture; a colony will grow like wildfire in a deli cup with charcoal as a substrate and some water on the bottom, as long as some sort of nourishment (preferably powdered) is provided. However, colonies will bloom best when kept with roaches on substrate. The largest individuals are slightly smaller than pinhead crickets, making this species an excellent tiny feeder. They can be used in combination with other springtail varieties to create the ultimate enclosure clean-up crew.
