The brown roach is extremely similar to the American roach, only with different coloration and differently shaped cerci. It is less adaptable than other Periplaneta and typically only inhabits warm climates. It is an endearing species that displays well; the nymphs are quite colorful and the intensity and variation in adult pronotum patterns is interesting to observe.
