This roach species breaks the typical roach color scheme with gorgeous blue-gray young adults. The coloration on older individuals is typically white-ish with mottled silver, but the vivid orange leg and abdomen coloration remains through life. The nymphs are equally handsome, sharing the black and white color scheme of their close relative Gyna lurida. The chrome roach is exceptionally easy to keep and breed, but a tight lid and close guard are important to prevent the hyper and very flighty adults from escaping.
