Though very similar to Roth’s giant burrowing roach, the Cuban burrowing roach is smaller, faster growing, and faster breeding. The males can have long or short wings, and, unlike Byrsotria rothi, are always black. The curvature of the wing tips can also be helpful in differentiating the two.
