“Euro” is the longest craniifer variety, although more lightly built than the other two. The elytra are typically solid black, though large females can get some browning in the center.¬† The costal margins tend to be crisp, elongate, and glassy as well. Pronotum markings are particularly colorful, but variable and not all adults possess a distinguishable “death’s head”. Blaberus craniifer¬†as a taxon has been the subject of much debate over the past few decades, but it would seem that regardless of the identities of several craniifer and craniifer-like entities, this stock appears to be pure and not the results of mixing multiple lines of different origins.
