Presently, the Guyanna spotted roach is one of the most popular feeder roaches. It is very easy to rear and cannot climb. The adult males may be able to fly but it has not been proven yet. After two to five months of internal incubation, the female gives birth to ten to fifty babies, which mature in four to eight months. When picked up, the nymphs of this species will curl up and play dead in self-defense.
