Detailed Species Stats -Click-
For years I believed these unique roaches, members of the cryptic Old World roach family Nocticolidae, would never be in culture. Sometimes, it good to be wrong! Nocticola sp. “Malaysia” is the smallest roach currently cultivated. In the wild, they inhabit tree hollows and logs, though many species in this genus are strict cave-dwellers. Females are egg-laying machines, but the excessively tiny ooths contain only 3 or so eggs. This species is a wonderful companion roach in other enclosures and has endless potential as a tiny feeder and be used as a replacement for fruit flies or even springtails.
