This new line of black-head roach is far similar to early descriptions of the species in captivity. Adults are large, robust creatures reminiscent of super-sized Blaberus discoidalis. The care is similar to other atropos-group Blaberus, although this species does seem to grow more slowly. Nymphs sport more attractive purple and burgundy overtones than other Blaberus nymphs.
