The unadorned cockroach is an occasional inhabitant of greenhouses around the globe. The males are fully winged and the females are brachypterous. This species is very easy to culture but fairly intolerant of dry conditions. It would make a better feeder if it wasn’t so good at climbing. Regardless, the species has its charms; adult females will defend food while eating quite violently.
