The southern woods roach is a native roach often found in the Southeastern US. It can be fairly common under bark on standing and fallen trees. The nymphs begin life a pale yellow and eventually develop white and black markings, though some will turn orange. They are very easy to keep and have surprisingly big appetites for their size.
