The broad wood roach is the second largest species in the genus Parcoblatta. The females are over an inch and have beautiful red and black stripes on their abdomen with glossy wings and a beautiful orange-ish pronotum. The males are dull orange with creamy pronotum borders. This prolific species lays oothecae often, and each egg case can contain over 50 ova! Despite their looks, the adult females are well-behaved when handled.
