12/13/2021: The glamorous life of a roach breeder

It’s roughly 4 PM on a Monday, and I’ve already been up since 5 AM. Amid some family commitments, Tuesday shipping day on the horizon, and unpacking from an expo on Saturday, the last few days have been non-stop chaos.

I do not need pity, or even sympathy. I have brought this madness into my life of my own free will, and frankly wouldn’t have it any other way. I love -most- of the grind, and it’s worth it to connect with all the awesome and bizarre bug people out there. Learning, sharing, and making new experiences involving our invertebrate planet-sharers is what I live for.

The other night (way past my bedtime) while winding down from expo prep, I snapped a rather authentic picture of my present existence. So for anyone who wanted a window into a busy night for me, here it is.

A luxury view of my vivarium that never sleeps as I cram as many calories into my corporeal form as possible before power-showering and hauling my behind to bed, while Viktor gazes on contemplating whether or not he needs to howl to get my attention. The veritable high life.
