12/17/2021: Hemithyrsocera vittata on the up and up

At long last, I have confirmation that my set-up is working holistically for Hemithyrsocera vittata: second instars have popped up!

This has been the stopgap for this species (for me) in the past; first instars can be very finicky about their temperature and humidity and both times I produced them, they didn’t last long before disappearing. Seeing hordes of first and second instars skittering around fills me with the immense joy of roachy parenthood!

Once I confirm third instars, I’ll be making a species page for them and finally making them available after all these years. We’re not across the finish line yet but… it sure feels like it!
