7/25/2022: The dog days of summer

The days are long, hot, and oscillating between dry and wet. My to-do list is long and seems never-ending. Several trips are behind me, and one big one looms on the near horizon. The summer grind continues.

Outdoor work provided a good opportunity to socialize Viktor with his girlfriends down the street, the tiny Pomeranian mixed Maddie and Abby. Proving his worth as a gentle giant, play time out in the sun and inside with the AC on blast went very well and all parties settled down for a nice nap after.

Seeing the dogs at peace made me jealous as I haven’t been able to stop moving with all the things I want and have to do by the end of the season, but I’m fixing my gaze forward and powering through the work knowing a peaceful fall is ahead… hopefully.

And to think by many metrics these two are the same species…
