The adult females of this lovely species mimic a small brown beetle, while the adult males have a more typical roach-y appearance with a creamy toffee-colored stripe or splotch on their wings. This species enjoys a deep substrate with a lower, moist layer and a moist to dry upper one. The fancy-looking oothecae of this species hatch in around 3-5 months. Though the adult males can climb, they are very clumsy and do not appear to possess a good grip.
