Firebrats are primitive insects which can occasionally be nuisances in bakeries and oven rooms. They cannot fly and are completely wingless as adults. They make excellent feeders for tiny and small predators, as they move in attention-catching, jittery bursts and have an extremely soft exoskeleton covered in little scales. Personally, I find the red pubescence on their face (reminiscent of a little red mustache) absolutely adorable.
