Detailed Species Stats -Click-
Blue is an uncommon color in nature, and it mostly commonly presents as a structural coloration instead of pigment. The paradoxing springtail takes the beautiful shimmer seen in other species to the next level with a glorious blue sheen. Like other structural colors, this is best viewed with good lighting. This species also has a prominent hunchback in adults, adding further to their surreal look. In the wild they’re typically associated with moist field edges but can be found sparingly in forest leaf litter as well. This species has not been as easy to culture as other large entomobryomorphs, so there are probably some husbandry quirks yet to be discovered.
