Pie-dish beetles are amusing darkling beetles with curved elytra and pronota, resembling the edges of a pie dish. Due to their undemanding care needs and hardiness, they do well in mixed darkling species enclosures. Breeding is very easy as long as a substrate of leaf litter and wood is provided. Large larvae can be removed for pupation in deli cups filled with compacted dirt.
