Red fire millipedes are a wonderful beginner species for those looking for colorful, hardy, exotic species. They do well under a variety of conditions, grow and breed relatively quickly, and are absolutely striking when mature. Well-rotted leaf litter and wood is important to keeping them in optimum condition as with many other millipedes, but they don’t go through it as fast as some others. An excellent companion for isopods of all sizes as well!
