Contrary to popular belief, this line of Porcellio scaber was NOT created by crossing “Dalmatian” and “Spanish Orange”. It was a mutant in a colony of  orange Porcellio scaber which Ryan had isolated from wild caught individuals in New Jersey, which is distributed as “US Orange”. The coloration is variable as in “Dalmatian”, though some individuals appear to have nearly no orange spotting, perhaps due to how small the spots are. Males tend to have larger chunks of pattern than females.
