Whimsically black-and-white, this adorable isopod mutant has attracted many new isopod enthusiasts. After many years of suspicion, this has been determined to be a species other than laevis. Crossing experiments with confirmed laevis lines and microscopic examination of the exopodite 1 have solidified these suspicions. The exact identity remains a mystery and the species could be undescribed. This large isopod is very sturdy, long-lived, and productive and perfect for those wishing to dabble in fancy isopods.
