What little information there is about this isopod suggests it is found in caves in mountainous areas of Thailand. This is one of the larger Cubaris, and captive specimens reach sizes comparable to wild individuals unlike some such as sp. “Blond Ducky”. Breeding is slow compared to other cave species as well, although temperatures in the high 80s are tolerated. Good, flat surfaces are important for this species to cling to as they are much less inclined to burrow than others. Crowding seems to be preferred; I have often found adults encircled by smaller individuals and when disturbed they appear to shimmy in closer.
