The Bornean leaf roach is a pleasant representative of the genus and is the easiest Epilamprine roach to consistently culture. Nymphs are tactically camouflaged and blend right in with mixed organic debris; in culture adults are easy to spot but would be a dead ringer for dry tropical leaf litter in the wild. This species is not as capable of flight as Epilampra maya or Rhabdoblatta rustica, but the adults are excellent climbers and quite fast so care should be taken if any have perched beneath the enclosure lid.
