My personal favorite Byrsotria species, the striped burrowing roach is also the second largest in the genus. Males tend to be bulkier than Byrsotria rothi, but are not nearly as long. The striping is most prominent on adult males, but the females also have small splotches of white along their abdomen. Though a long-winged form exists, only the short-winged form occurs in captivity.
