8/28/2022: Amidst the many bugs

The blog posts section has been pretty quiet lately, and this is primarily due to the bulk of my time being spent putting away new bugs and recovering from the trip. I have a lot to say about the trip and have been quietly reserving that for the upcoming livestream on September 1st, which will likely be quite long and in depth.

In general, I’ve bulked out my species counts on sand roaches and miscellaneous darklings, but with field crickets and cave crickets following closely behind. The trip was disappointing for other beetle groups, but I’m more than happy with the other overall finds and can’t complain. I pocketed large numbers of many new Venezillo species/locales as well.
